Foundation for Scientific Understanding

Making scientific knowledge accessible to everyone

Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.” – The British Science Council

What is science and what is psudeoscience? In a world full of new technologies and research, how do we find our place in it? When someone tells you that something is based in “science”, how do you evaluate it?  With so much news and media, how can we use science to better understand our lives, choose what products to consume in our daily lives, or make informed decisions? How do we know what questions to ask?

At the Foundation for Scientific Understanding we believe that science should be accessible to everyone, and that you have a right to truly understand it. We’re committed to shining a light on the misunderstood and confusing bits of the scientific zeitgeist so that you have the tools you need to navigate an ever more confusing world.  Because when science isn’t accessible, people are able to profit on that ignorance.
